Workshop description:

Join Monique Clark, COO at SignGlasses, founder of Clark Laine, and NAOBI Nu President, for a powerful workshop derived from her lived experiences as a CODA deeply immersed in Deaf culture.

Drawing on her expertise in accessibility advocacy and inclusive communication strategy, Monique will delve into critical topics of Ableism, Racism, Audism, and Intersectionality. Through a compelling slide deck enriched with major topics, graphs, statistics, images, definitions, and comprehensive resources, participants will gain profound insights into these complex themes. Participants will be led through case studies where they will apply demonstrated strategies to evaluate scenarios where race, power, disability and culture influence the dynamics of communication and relationship.

Monique's presentation will not only educate, but inspire action and reflection; empowering attendees to become advocates for change within their communities and organizations. Additionally, Monique will share her contact information for further questions, discussion, or learning. Don't miss this opportunity to engage with a dynamic leader and champion for diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
