The philosophy of SaVRID is that quality interpretation services will help to ensure effective communication between people who are Deaf or hard of hearing and people who are hearing. As a local professional association for interpreters SaVRID provides a forum to achieve its mission and encourages its members' pursuit of excellence.

Job Opportunity — Staff Services Analyst with ASL Bilingual Skills

We (California Department of Social Services) are recruiting for a Staff Services Analyst with ASL bilingual skills. The incumbent will work as a contract analyst, scheduler/coordinator, and provide language support (ASL to English and English to ASL) in the Communication Access Services Unit within my bureau.

This is a 12-month limited-term position and may be extended to a maximum of 24 months. Additionally, this position is a statewide recruitment and the incumbent will be headquartered in the county nearest their residence, including but not limited to the following counties: Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego. The incumbent must be able to commute to the Sacramento Headquarters when needed.
